CZP has developed long-term relationships with zinc concentrate and secondary raw materials suppliers. CZP’s raw material base is represented by Nova Zinc – operator of Akzhal lead and zinc mine in Kazakhstan. In 2008 Nova Zinc LLP provided 19.7% of CZP needs in zinc concentrate; 45.7% of zinc concentrate was supplied by Russian producers, 23.6% was imported. Domestic zinc concentrate suppliers are represented by Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC) and Russian Copper Company (RCC). CZP currently purchases all the imported zinc concentrate through Euromin. Secondary zinc containing raw accounted 11% of the total 2008 raw materials supply. materials accounted 11% of the total 2008 raw materials supply.
