HISTORY
1935 - Chelyabinsk Electrolytic Zinc Plant established, with annual capacity of 20,000 tonnes of zinc
1960 - CEZP's capacity increased to 70,000 tonnes
1970 - Zinc recovery rate reaches 97%
1993 - Restructured into a joint-stock company and privatized
1999 - 2003 - construction of a new electrolytic complex to produce up to 200,000 tonnes of SHG zinc
2000 - EBRD provided a US$15 mln financing for the CZP's expansion programme
2002 - EBRD approved a US$12 mln follow-up loan for environment-related upgrade
2003 - Arkley Capital S.a r.l. acquired a controlling interest in CZP through the purchase from the Vitol group of 100% of shared of Euromin Holding B.V. (Now NF Holdings B.V.)
2004 - CZP registered its zinc brand with LME ("CZP SHG")
2006 - CZP acquired 100% of shares in Nova Trading & Commerce AG, a 100% shareholder of Nova Zinc that owns Akzhal Mine in Kazakhstan
November 2006 - Listing of CZP'Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs) at the London Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CHZN
January 2007 – A 25-year license agreement signed with The Russian Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra) for the exploration and extraction of zinc ores in the Amurskoye Deposit located in Bredinsky district, Chelyabinsk region
March 2007 – The Waelz kiln facility #5 is put into operation
June 2007 - CZP acquired the Brock Metal business, the leading UK supplier of zinc and aluminum die-casting alloys
